8V Series Cast Iron Four-Groove QD Sheaves American Standard Pulley For 8V Belts
Product Description
8V series 4 groove QD (quick release) bushing pulley applies to 8V and 8V belts. They range in diameter from 12.50 “to 53.00”. Depending on the pulley size, they use F, J, or M QD bushings, which we also have in stock. Our four-groove 8V QD pulley is mainly made of high-strength 35-grade cast iron, coated with phosphate and anti-corrosion paint. All these are balanced at the factory to ensure the smooth operation of the machine.

(1) 8V series V-belt
Classic 8V series V-belts have a top width of 0.63 “, a thickness of 0.53”, and an angle of 38 °. In addition, the 8V V-belt is 1 of the oldest V-belts in the industry. Because of their long-term success and economical operation, they are also 1 of the industry’s most widely used belt series. The high-quality 8V series v-belts we provide are manufactured according to ISO 9001 specifications, with oil and heat resistance, and can be directly interchanged with other brands. They are composed of natural rubber compound and polyester rope, covered with a mixture of cotton and polyester, and have high durability.
(2) 8V series ribbon V-belt
The 8V series v-belts are part of the “classic” v-belt series because they are 1 of the oldest and most common styles. Our belts are manufactured according to ARPM standards and have excellent strength, durability, and performance. The top width of each belt (belt/rib) of the 8V series v-belt is 1.0 inches.
Relevant QD sleeve | quick disconnect sleeve
QD bushings are used for various sprockets, pulleys, and synchronous drives in industrial power transmission and agricultural industries. They are designed for easy installation and unloading; They are also referred to as quick disconnect bushings. The QD sleeve facilitates standard installation outside the flange, reverse installation on the inside, and utilizes a single split that extends to the entire sleeve length. Our QD bushing can be interchanged with other brands and is made of high-grade steel by precision machining, which is suitable for perfect installation. The advantages of QD casing compared with different types of casing include: Easy to install/unload, firm grip, and high strength. We stock all standard-size QD bushings and provide custom QD bushings (including stainless steel bushings) CZPT request. Precautions for pulley assembly
1. Gasoline must be used for the last cleaning before assembly to ensure that all parts are clean and dry, the mating surfaces are closely matched, free of oil stains, and have sufficient friction.
2. Hexagon socket head bolts for assembly shall also be cleaned and dried with gasoline before assembly. Do not apply lubricating oil or grease on the bolt or screw hole to ensure that the bolt has sufficient friction self-locking capacity after tightening.
3. When the 3 hexagon socket head bolts are about to be installed, they need to be tightened to ensure that the tapered sleeve is subjected to uniform axial force and that the v-belt pulley and the tapered sleeve are on the same axis.
4. Before installation, check and measure the length of the hexagonal socket bolt for assembly to ensure that the assembly bolt can bear the bottom end of the blind hole of the conical sleeve after being tightened, ensure that the conical surface is closely matched, and ensure that the bolt is subject to reverse thrust at the bottom of the blind hole so that the anti loosening effect of the double nut principle is the same.
5. After the belt pulley is tightened, check and adjust the relative positions of the driving and driven belt pulleys by pulling wires to ensure that the 2 belt pulleys are on the same plane and the belt tension is moderate.
6. The pulley cover shall be intact and firmly installed to ensure that the belt is broken or the pulley is loose or pulled out during operation, resulting in significant safety accidents.
7. The conical sleeve is a wearing part. Check before each assembly. The spare parts shall be replaced in time if any defect is found. The prolonged operation may damage the inner bore and the chain groove. Prolonged machining may damage the inner cavity and the chain groove.
