Taper bushings (inch and metric sizes) have a flanged design and feature a 4° taper with conventional or reverse mounting. They are stocked in popular finished bore sizes and minimum plain bore for custom reboring.

Use a tapered or QD bushing with sheaves, pulleys, sprockets and many other power transmission applications. Flanged quick-disconnect bushings feature a completely split design to help provide easy installation and disassembly. American Standard 12D Series Cast Iron QD Bushing Sheaves Pulley For D Belts

12D series 12 groove QD bushing pulley, applicable to D series classic v belt and D belt; They range in diameter from 12.64 inches to 58.64 inches. Depending on the pulley size, they use M, N, or P QD (quick disassembly) bushings, which we also have in stock. Most of our 12D QD pulleys are made of high-strength grade 35 cast iron, phosphate coated, and painted to prevent corrosion. All these are balanced at the factory to ensure the smooth operation of the machine.

Classic D-Series V-belts have a top width of 1.25 inches, a thickness of 0.75 inches, and an angle of 40 °. In addition, the D V belt is 1 of the oldest V-belt types in the industry. Because of their long-term success and economical operation, they are also 1 of the industry’s most widely used belt series. The high-quality D-series v-belts we provide are manufactured according to the ISO 9001 specification, with oil and heat resistance, and can be directly interchanged with other brands. They are composed of natural rubber compound and polyester rope, covered with a mixture of cotton and polyester, and have high durability.
(2) D series ribbon V-belt
D series v-belts are part of the “classic” v-belt series because they are 1 of the oldest and most common styles. Our belts are manufactured according to ARPM standards and have excellent strength, durability, and performance. The top width of each belt (belt/rib) of the D series v-belt is 1-1/4 “.
Relevant QD sleeve | quick disconnect sleeve
QD bushings are used for various sprockets, pulleys, and synchronous drives in industrial power transmission and agricultural industries. The QD sleeve facilitates standard installation outside the flange and reverse installation on the inside and utilizes a single split that extends to the entire sleeve length. The advantages of QD casing compared with different types of casing include: Easy of installation/unloading, firm grip, and high strength. Related QD Bushings | Quick Disconnect Bushings
QD bushings are widely used in industrial power transmission and agricultural markets for multi-sprocket, pulley, pulley, and synchronous transmission. QD bushings can be routinely installed by all flange outboard and reverse mounting, regardless of the flange position on the inboard side, and use a single opening that extends over the entire bushing length. The correct installation procedure for pulley and conical sleeve
1. Remove the residual oil, paint, and pollutants on the shaft, the inner hole of the tapered sleeve, the outer surface of the tapered sleeve, and the surface of the tapered hole of the belt pulley, and remove the surface burrs. NOTE: The use of lubricants can cause the pulley to crack. Do not use any lubricant during installation.
2. Place the tapered sleeve in the tapered hole of the pulley and align each hole (each complete hole is only half of the thread).
3. Add a little oil to the thread of the mounting screw, and then screw it into the half-threaded hole of the pulley. NOTE: Do not lubricate the tapered surface of the tapered sleeve, the tapered surface of the hub, the bore of the tapered sleeve, and the shaft. The use of lubricant may cause the pulley to break.
4. Install the key in the keyway of the shaft, install the tapered sleeve of the pulley on the shaft, and position it so that the pulley can move slightly axially when locked. Note: when installing the v-shaped belt pulley on the vertical shaft, precautions should be taken to prevent the pulley or cone from falling off.
5. Tighten the mounting screws alternately until the tapered surface of the pulley and the tapered sleeve are assembled. NOTE: Do not use a worn hex wrench, as it may cause loose components or damaged mounting screws.
6. Check the runout (swing) of the centering pulley; Correct it if necessary.
7. Continue to tighten the mounting screws alternately to the recommended tightening torque of the mounting screws. After CZPT the recommended tightening torque of the mounting screws, do not apply additional force.
8. To increase the clamping force of the taper sleeve, moderately knock the end face of the taper sleeve with a hammer through the sizing block or sleeve. Note: Do not directly hit the conical sleeve with a hammer.
9. Tighten the taper sleeve mounting screws again after tapping.
10. Recheck the torque after the first test run and regularly check it later. If loose, repeat steps 5-9.
