>> INSTALL
1) Clean shaft, bore and outside of bush, and bore of hub. Remove any oil, laquer of dirt. Place bush in hub and match half holes to make comelete holes(each comeplete hole will be threaded on 1 side only).
2) Lightly oil thread and point of set screws, or thread and under head of cap screws. Place screws loosely in holes that are threaded on hub side.
3) Make sure bush is free in hub. Slip assembly CHINAMFG shaft and locate in the desired position.
4) Tighten screws alternately and evenly until all are pulled up tightly(See table for torque settings)).
5) Hammer agsinst large end of bush using hammer and block or sleeve to avoid damage. Screws can now be turned a little more to the specified torque setting. Repeat this alternate hammering and screw re-tightening until the specified torque is reached. Fill all holes with grease to exclude dirt.

>>REMOVE
1) Remove all screws. Lightly oil thread and point of set screws, or thread and under head of cap screws.
2) Insert screws into removel holes that are threaded on the bush side. In sizes where washers are found under screws heads, be sure to use these washers.
3) Tighten screws alternately until bush is loosened in hub and then remove the coplete assembly. If bush does not loosen immediately tap on hub.

Taper bushings (inch and metric sizes) have a flanged design and feature a 4° taper with conventional or reverse mounting. They are stocked in popular finished bore sizes and minimum plain bore for custom reboring.

Use a tapered or QD bushing with sheaves, pulleys, sprockets and many other power transmission applications. Flanged quick-disconnect bushings feature a completely split design to help provide easy installation and disassembly. A tapered bushing with straight edges uses an internal screw to help drive the bushing into the shaft, while a split taper has a flange and a key on the bushing to help provide more drive.

The Taper Lock bush is pre-bored and keyed to match the required shaft and keyway diameters. The outside of the bush is tapered to match the component bore that is to be located on the shaft.

To Install:

1.Clean shaft,bore,and outside of bushing,and bore of hub(taking bushing from hub if already       assembled).Remove any oil.lacquer,or dirt.Placing bushing in hub and match half holes to make complete holes(each complete hole will be threaded on 1 side only).

2.Oil thread and point of set screws or thread and under head of cap screws.Place screws loosely in holes thatare threaded in hub 1 side see install bore.

3.Make sure bushing is free in hub.Slip assembly CHINAMFG shaft and locatd in position desired.

4.Tighten screws alternately and evenly until all are pulled up very tightly.Use a piece of pipe on wrench to increase leverage,please refer to taper bushing screw torque which need to be asked.

5.If stall key,place it in the shaft keyway before install taper bushing.

6.After drive has been running under load for a short time stop and check tightness of screws.Fill other holes with grease to exclude dirt.

2.Oil thread and point of set screws or thread and under head of cap screws.Place screws loosely in holes thatare threaded in hub 1 side see install bore.

3.Make sure bushing is free in hub.Slip assembly CHINAMFG shaft and locatd in position desired.

4.Tighten screws alternately and evenly until all are pulled up very tightly.Use a piece of pipe on wrench to increase leverage,please refer to taper bushing screw torque which need to be asked.

5.If stall key,place it in the shaft keyway before install taper bushing.

6.After drive has been running under load for a short time stop and check tightness of screws.Fill other holes with grease to exclude dirt.
